Amy Yassinger is a versatile vocalist based out of Chicago who specializes in performing Jazz, R&B, and Pop music.  She found her love for Jazz and Pop music when she studied at the Berklee College of Music briefly before heading to the University of Miami to pursue her BM in Studio Music and Jazz.  While in Miami, she sang with the University’s big band, Salsa band and Wedding bands in the area.  She continued to Western Michigan University to complete her MM in Jazz Studies.  Her involvement in different music ensembles at Miami (Jazz Vocal I) and Western Michigan University (Gold Company) earned her the opportunity to perform at exciting venues such as: Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center and the National Inventor’s Hall of Fame.  She has also been a featured soloist at 3 IAJE conventions. In 2008, she was a finalist to sing with the Jazz Knights Big Band of West Point. 

Since moving back to Chicago in 2008, Amy performs with various bands in and around the Chicagoland area at many different venues such as Navy Pier and the Shedd Aquarium to name a few. You can see her at Jazz Clubs, restaurants, bars, weddings and private events. Whether she is singing Jazz, Pop or any other genre, prepare to be engaged by her passionate voice and sound interpretation of the lyrics.
